Born and raised in California, Dea has spent most of her life involved in fitness, in one aspect or another. Her passion for fitness and wellness was initially sparked by her participation in sports growing up, specifically soccer. Through her experience playing collegiate soccer for UCLA, she learned the pivotal importance that fitness training and diet can have on peak physical sport performance. Since graduating, she has become certified as an AFAA Personal Trainer as well as an NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist to help others achieve their respective fitness goals. Dea believes Orangetheory Fitness offers a well rounded and intense full body workout for clients at any age and fitness level. When Dea is not coaching at Orangetheory, she is coaching soccer, walking the bulldog pup with her husband on Katy Trail, or sweating in a class right next to you!
"Amy is committed to helping others reach their fitness goals, build confidence, and find ways to enjoy a healthy lifestyle. She believes the best fitness program for an individual is one which is variable enough to keep it interesting, challenging enough for results, and fun. This is why she was attracted to Orangetheory Fitness. Amy has maintained a personal training certification from The Cooper Institute since 2009 where she has continued her education with multiple advanced certifications. She is also a certified trainer through Functional Movement Screening, specializing in corrective exercises for muscle imbalances, increasing mobility, and injury prevention. For years, Amy has been teaching group exercise classes including boot camp, indoor cycling, and water aerobics. She has worked with a variety of clients ranging from adolescents to elderly and feels the most successful when helping others improve their quality of life. With a Bachelor's of Science degree in Nutrition from Texas Woman's University, Amy's mission is to help others improve their lives in all facets of wellness, providing solutions to common roadblocks that prevent individual success. When she's not coaching or taking an Orangetheory class, Amy enjoys baking, running, and volunteering for DFW Pug Rescue Center with her pug "Emmitt"."
Justin has been with us as a Front Desk Team Member assisting your fitness needs since our Preston & Frankford studio opened in October 2014. A few years ago, he realized that he needed to be stronger for his son and began a life in fitness. Justin has since grown a passion for it and, with a desire to help others, sought to help them enjoy a healthier lifestyle. However, he wanted to do more for our clients. When he moved to our Addison studio, he began to study and research fitness more than he had before. After obtaining his certification as a Personal Trainer through the National Federation of Personal Trainers, it still was not enough. So, he also earned a certification as a Fitness Nutrition Specialist through NFPT and a second Personal Trainer's certification through the National Council on Strength and Fitness. He now cannot wait to assist you on your fitness goals from the other side of the glass! If he's not there, you can find him enjoying quality time with his son, at the gym or listening to good music to add to his next playlist.
